GTD

I am very grateful that I did NOT procrastinate Christmas shopping until this week. Would I and Robert not had gotten it all done we would not have presents for the kids and due to the weather that is not allowing us to get out of our driveway we cannot go anywhere to get them...so WHEW! So grateful we thought way ahead this year. Robert got a lot of the kids gifts when he was in Seattle. I thought we were just going to do our traditional treasure hunt ( adding games and books this year...to the movies we normally have). Robert got ALL of them snowboarding gear at some really great sale he found while he was milling about Seattle during the 2 weeks he was gone for training. They will definitely be outfitted WELL this year. They have better gear than I do..HAH!

I am grateful for this snow(even thought it is making me crazy to be stuck at home!) I am grateful we haven't lost power yet! I am grateful to see it snow and watch th epeaeceful flakes fall down to cover the ground in fresh , clean whiteness:) Our property just looks divine when it is blanketed in snow!

I am grateful we haven't had church in 2 weeks(I know that sounds weird) but...I have been able to use the time to read scriptures, teach gospel lessons and work on Young women's personal progress and Duty to God with Leavi and Jaydn. It has been a nice break from everyday cares! My children, will disagree..even Kyzen whined when I told him "No church today!" They miss it which gives me a happy heart . Happy that they really WANT to go to church...it is part of them and who they are! It is truly so lovely outside right now, the snow is falling heavily...My prayer for today is that my honey makes it home safely from Mount Hood Meadows.

I am in awe that we are having this kind of weather this time of the year? Is this a sign that we will have an abundant spring and summer? I think I read that somewhere? Nevertheless, let us all be grateful for the beauty all around us and God's blessings upon us this Christmas Season. Let us all be grateful for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ...for His infinite atonement, His grace and Mercy.

Yes, the snow is beautiful but after being stuck inside for 5 days you get ready to get out. Just FYI we live up near Annie's berry farms. We currently have 15 in. of snow and counting; some areas we have 4 ft. Adam was walking in a foot of snow and then all of a sudden he fell to his waist. It's crazy! Have a Merry and White Christmas.

I always procrastinate Christmas presents, so hopefully we'll be able to get out of the house to an open shop around here to finish :o) I love the snow too, but it does make a person go crazy being cooped up all the time. :o)
