I am very grateful that I have my health and that I am capable of raising my children, playing with then, serving them, helping them with homework, going to their games and laughing with them. I am grateful that my trials are not too much for me to bare and that I know I don not have to bare them alone. I have recently become a Nie Nie fan (for those of you, like me, who have never heard of the famous Mormon blogger mom who inspires thousands of readers with her mothering and writing ability who was in a fiery plane crash with her beloved husband in August and sustained burns over 80% of her body...her husband 30%. I have " delved " into her world via her sister Courtney's blog and efforts to keep us all informed of Nie Nie's (Stephanie Nielson's) progress. The story is captivating and faith provoking and awe inspiring. I would encourage all how are curious to go to her blog and then her sister's blog and read for yourself(allow about 4 hours or more and bring a box of Kleenex)The fantastic innovation of the Internet and "Blog" has allowed this woman to touch so many lives and give people the chance to reach out to this family in their dire time of need. I am just blown away at the publicity this tragedy has received but humbled to see how much people who have never met Stephanie have reached out to her and her beloved family. It is something that shows me there is so much goodness out in the world!
Reading about how Stephanie, after the crash and miraculously getting out of the fiery plane herself completely burned, reached up and touched the face of the man that held her head in his lap while paramedics were coming and what she said(You have to read this article to get the full picture) and then her struggle to live, the words she spoke to her sisters along the way, and the strength of her body to heal and the faith of her family is just precious and such a gift!
So I am grateful for what I have!
