Robert and his friend, Nate McClellan(he climbed Mt. Rainier with) took Jaydn to the Goat Rocks Wilderness to conquer Mt. Glibert. They began on the Night of Kole's birthday and hiked for 4 hours to make camp, in the dark. They went to sleep at 11:30 pm and awoke at 3:30am to begin the hike/climb. They summited at about 8am(an hour after the sun came up) which means most of the assent was in the dark. On the way Nate found a bunch of eatable mushrooms that they harvested. One kind that is worth about $100 for one mushroom in some places????YIKES! The entire hike it rained and rained on them. When they came up out of the cloud line the clouds seemed to pour over the mountains...very picturesque! The descent took about another 6 hours and then another 3 hour drive back home to unload tons of soaked gear on the unsuspecting mom:( I wish I liked to hike and climb mountains so much that I would go these extremes just for the "experience" but I can happily say " better them than me:)"
