I am grateful that I had a miserable headache today so I didn't go snowboarding with the family. I stayed home with my wonderful daughter, Leavi! We slept in and had a great oatmeal breakfast to then go for a 3 mile power walk (my regular route) and run the La Center stairs a total of 10 time up and ten times down...whoopee! We then fed our friends dogs, went to get dog food for Max and chicken food...and some ever entertaining catnip to see what our cats would do. Off to Quizno's for $4 tiny torpedo sandwiches and some soup...car almost overheats..pull over and put some anti-freeze in ...made it home..WHEW!... and the cats didn't even want to have anything to do with the catnip, weird cats.
Now , we are watching the history of missionaries going to Hawaii on the BYU channel and then spend the rest of the day lounging, reading and sucking our brains dry with pointless movie watching:)
I love Spring Break!
Just to record this day in history...I learned how to snowboard this week, as well. went up twice and got the turning thing down. Danika and Tim were with us up there on Thursday. I didn't get past Buttercup due to the visibility conditions, Danika did Easy Rider with Tim but I didn't want to go anywhere without Robert, who was enjoying very DEEP powder conditions...He was in Heaven! He deserved that day. Today would have been PERFECT if not for my headache but I, like I said, am grateful I got my daughter all to myself! Leavi is the best!

Love the sound of that day! Sometimes it is so nice to have a day with just one child and lots of time to spend there's certainly a connection that occurs. Sorry you had a headache, glad that you're learning snowboard, you're amazing. That still scares me! Leavi is beautiful!
Hi Danelle,
There is an expression in Italian. I hope I get it right. "Dolce far niente" mean "It's sweet to do nothing." My daughter in Beaverton had an extra week with her two children before spring break. Snowed in Dec. 14 and didn't get out for days. We were in Palm Springs and couldn't help her.
I look forward to meeting you soon.

Sounds like you had a headache worth having :o) Glad you had a good day, even if it did start out with a headache... and you are right, Leavi is the best!
I love that Leavi!
That is great you enjoy being with Leavi so much. I love my one daughter too. She is so fun to be with. She is turning 5 in a couple weeks. They grow tooo fast.
