Don't forget to tighten your lugnuts!!!!!!

As I was traveling from the school to Winco today the Honda began making a most alarming thumping the the rear left side??? I called Robert. He said "It will be fine I am going to change the axle in a week anyway." Second call of alarm " Robert, it is getting louder and sounds terrible. What if I can't make it home?" "You will be fine, call me if there is a problem and I will come and tow you home."

From Walmart parking lot..." Robert I am really worried about this noise what if the car catches on fire or something?" " It shouldn't catch fire, you will be fine."

....Huge impression comes to me to "DO NOT TAKE THE FREEWAY!!!!" Danelle is trying very hard not to lose it and thinking how grateful she is that it is sunny and fairly warm in case she has to walk a long way...STAY POSITIVE DANELLE!

Last call to Robert..." I am really worried about this thing exploding or something?" "It is in the front and the gas tank is in the back, you'll be fine." "It is NOT in the front...it is in the left rear and it smells funny." " Well pull pover and see if it is smoking..." Danelle pulls over and smells nothing...must be my imagination? Robert says " Carefully touch the tire and the lugnuts to see if they are hot"

Danelle finds that the tire is barely being held on by one lug nut still kind of attached. Danelle gets out the lug wrench and tightens all lug nuts.....PROBLEM SOLVED! Noise is gone! HOORAY!

Now anyone dare try to tell me that God does not watch over us and that the Holy Spirit doesn't impress our minds!!!!

Conclusion...My tire would have flown off on the freeway and because I listened to a prompting to take the back roads and was persistent that something was seriously wrong ( Oh...and tried to remain positive about the situation, and felt gratitude for something) my car is fine and I did not die in a fiery, heinous car wreck and take others out with me today!

Gratitude...it's what's for dinner!

Way to go Danelle! Odd as it is, I love incidents like those. They really get you feeling the love and care God has for you. Its really like sharing a moment with God. The gratitude is real and vivid. Thanks for sharing!

This is a great story, and I'm glad you had this experience... think of all those talks you can give in church now :o) ha. No really, thank you for sharing this and reminding us how important it is to have the holy ghost in our life.

What a great story. I'm glad you wrote it down. I agree with Jon, I love those moments when I know a higher power is over me and everything around me.

Think of all the things you've learned over the years about cars and how to listen to promptings!
