The woman on the left( the super tall one) is the exchange student I had when I was a sophomore in High School, Christa Eloranta...now Heionen. She is married and has 4 boys. She was on a trip to Norway for her business in this picture. She was so wonderful to have around for that is the year that my dad died and it took away some of the hurt to have her in our house. Having an exchange student(did I mention she is from Finland?) is such a rich cultural experience and I hope we can host one at some point for our family...hopefully one of Christa's boys! I had the chance to go over to her home when I was 18 and I stayed for 2 1/2 weeks during Christmas and New Years. It was so cold but very pretty and fun to be with Christa. She came back and visited us once but we have kept in touch here and there ever since. I am grateful ( GTD # 26) for in Internet which allows me to be able to keep relationships going with friends I don't get to see!
