With a lot of perseverance I have managed to keep in touch with this old friend of mine from my childhood. Eden moves around a lot and she just barely got married a couple of years ago. Even being married she moves a lot but I am so Grateful, again, for the Internet because now that I have a valid email for her I seem to be able to keep in touch better!
Eden's last name used to be land ( I know what you are all thinking and my step-dad beat you to the punch) My step-dad used to call her Garden...Corney but funny. Anyhow, she and I became friends when we were both in 6 th grade and she came to visit St. Mary's for the day. She came to my piano lesson ( which by the way I can't play to save my life but Eden can play like the dickens, if anyone comes close to my sister-in-law Quincy's talent it is Eden...I can still hear her playing Rachmaninof's Theme of Paganini..music to my ears!!!!) The next year (7th grade ) we became best friends...much to Patsy's grief I am afraid,, that is the year I let Patsy down...I still hate myself for abandoning her but I was what 10 and Patsy forgives me we are still good friends:)?)Eden and I stayed at St. Mary's for one year but when I left we still hung out for a few years. Eden was a major part of my life and the person who helped me come out of my shyness shell...yes I used to be very shy, I know you don't believe me but it is true. We didn't see each other much in High School or after but I just love this girl! She is a ray of Sunshine and her new baby, Dylan...such a cutie pie, are so darn adorable! I sure hope I get to see her again someday but this leads me to the point of this post...I am so grateful that we meet good friends and we have good friendships on this earth! I am grateful that even if I never see Eden on this Earth again chances are good I will see her in Heaven! Heavenly Father blesses us with such rich blessing in friendship, what a gift of love!
Can I just add the years have been good to Eden...she looks fantastic, don't ya think?
