I was able to go for my walk with my friends yesterday and we skipped the big hill, they took pity on me and didn't have me push Annie in the stroller so I did make it...probably about 3miles minus the big hill but I didn't feel too bad and it really helps my on going back problem if I can get it worked out in the morning! I was missing so much talking with Lisa and Angela so it was great for my morale! I am grateful that the other problem is getting better and that I can be outside to enjoy this fabulous weather we are still having out here! It is cold in the mornings but very nice by afternoon! I hope it holds for another long while anyway! It is so great that we get to have different seasons during the year to keep us on our toes. I don't think living in perfect California weather is all it is cracked up to be. Just give me a tanning bed for my vitamin D issues and I am good to go!This morning is such a perfect example of fabulous weather...cold enough to get a fire roaring and enjoy it then let it die out and enjoy the warm weather later in the day...oh and the sun what a great combo! I love to see the colors of the leaves turning yellow red and brown out here! I can't say that I am looking forward to Halloween ( Not my favorite time of the year) but since I have managed to escape soccer for the rest of this season I am a one happy camper(
Kole has a stress fracture and needs to remain out for the rest of
the season...boo for him but
yay for me!)
Leavi is diligently practicing basketball everyday after
school from 3-5pm and she has made the 8
th grade team again! There were 45 girls that were
going out for basketball this year so the school created a second C team so all the girls
could play they just haven't figured out hoe to work that out because none of the other schools they play have 2 C teams??? We shall see how that works. The
coaches just
couldn't bare to cut anyone...how sweet they are! Jaydn's clarinet is broken and is going to cost us $125 dollars to fix if the girl can even get the part that fell off...she says it is obselete but she might be able to pilfer it off a part instrument...YIKES! It cosy ne $50 to buy 3 years ago and he now has a broken moputh piece..missing pads and bad corks and this wierd piece that fell off! Boys are not easy on instruments I am learning. I am taking Danika's sax in so she can give it a look over and make sure Kole isn't destroying the poor thing! Crosing my fingers on that one! The repair girl told me I should bring their instruments by at least every 3 months so she can give them a look over(for free) just to head any damage off at the pass:) Leavi's flute will be next month:) How do parents keep kids in so many instruments? I am re-thinking the whole let's own the intsrument idea? Leavi began piano lessons last week and is doing fabulous...she practices an hour everyday even though only 30 minutes is asked of her and Jaydn practices whenever he gets a chance so he is starting lessons next week! Competition for Leavi.. I think he will give her a run for her money! Provided we don't go poor with all this music stuff I think my children are getting such a great chance to further the developement of their wonderful brains! For that gift I am truly grateful! Music is a fantastic gift for everyone to be able to partake of! My dream is to be able to hear my children play the hymns and wonderful music in my home! I believe that Leavi has a special spirit watching over her in all of her musical choices...just the fact that she will not listen to popular music and prefers classical over anything has given her the desire to want to play it more than anything ! I wish I would have had her desires when I was her age! What blessing! She is always asking me for Cd's from composers I have never heard of..cute girl! Robert is working on loading up a MP3 player for her will misic she loves so she doesn't have to listen to the yuck on the basketball bus for away games!
