Good news!

I saw a great doctor today who has given me 4 resources to help my back...more than any other doctor I have ever seen. Last night I went to PA at Kaiser and he gave me Deximethazone(steroid ) 7 day treatment to reduce the swelling which is already working great! He put me on Valium for the pain ( Muscle relaxer) and he referred me to a non-surgical orthopedic specialist ( there is a technical name for her but I can't remember what it is?) She gave me 30 lidacaine patches for am "arsenal when I am in pain...it is topical and non-narcotic which is way better than oxicodone that I have been taking which is addictive. She wants me to take a neuro drug that used to be used for depression but in very low doses is good for nerve pain and sleep. I am so excited for this break through. ale is sending me to a physical therapist to refresh me on what to do for my core strength and stretching... meant to be just a week of visits not months. I am getting an MRI in the next few days yay! For follow up to see if I need to see a neurosurgeon! I feel so blessed that these doctors really listened to me and I finally have a fighting chance to get some relief! I am heavily medicated until the rest of the week...hence the reason why I can sit here and type this without crying:) After Friday I am going to the neuro drug only. This is such good news for me because .let's face it, my family is NOT keeping this house up when I just spent several weeks getting it normal again! Oh how they try but they are NOT me:) I love them for trying:) This has motivated me to spend so much more time preparing each one of them to be able to take over in my place. You never know when you will need it! I personally feel like a family with 4 capable kids should Not need to rely on the RS to step in and do everything for them so this is big motivation for me to begin the fun task of teaching and following through! I felel like I am up to the task because I have big help..Heavenly Father on my side!
