Today Kole and Kyzen stayed home from school to make caramel apples, popcorn and watch movies with good 'ol mom:) We tired to do the apples in Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory style but the caramel was a little too hot and slid all over the place. They taste wonderful anyway! I used grandma Grossnickle's caramel recipe..I put brown sugar instead of white and it is FABULOUS..just so ya know here is the link to our family recipe blog so you can look it up if you like (Those who aren't family that is)Good eats blog. I would wait about 30 minutes before trying to dip the apples.
