Yesterday Kole had a great basketball game. He scored 6 baskets(his all time high for a game!) Jaydn did very well too, lots of defense against a kid that was shutting him down every time he tried to shoot, very aggressive kid! Kole's team won and Jay's tied, great job boys! Robert took Kole to A&W for ice cream as a treat for shooting at least 5 baskets in one game( a little deal we worked out). Then they went to the dump and got rid of our horrid garbage pile up.
Later that day Robert and the boys began our chicken coop! The weather was so great ( 60 degrees!) that they took the opportunity to get some work done. It is almost done now...on to the barn for their nesting area.
I went for a 5 mile walk with Jaydn. He Literally ran circles around me for half of the walk, good exercise for him....and me! We ran into my neighbor half way so she turned around and went the rest of the way with me, she walked a total of 7 miles that day, what a trooper. I couldn't figure out why I was sucking air so much up the really steep hills and she wasn't doing as bad. Well, I weigh twice as much as she does, no wonder. I found out that , she too, says " What do you think there is a magical fairy that goes around and cleans up after you around here?" Funny that she would coin the same phrase as me.
Today, Sunday, I had to give the Young woman's Mia Maids lesson for the advisor(she was out of town) It went so well! I just love working with the young woman of the church. The bishop came in for a few minutes and then left...making me wonder what he thought? He later said " Too many touchy feeling girl emotions for me... had to get out of there!" I just laughed and laughed...men! The girls had a lesson on making you home a spiritual place to be. I loved that lesson. I ended by showing them a picture of the Salt Lake Temple Celestial room. I told them to ask themselves if they would feel good having a conversation with Jesus in that room? Then I asked them to think about inviting the Savior into their own rooms...how would they feel? Is it an inviting place for the spirit? They were very contemplative, it was good!
After dinner tonight we had Family Home Evening with our children( A lesson and fun time). We talked about food storage, made a list of dinners we all like, and talked about being a good friend. Then we had homemade chocolate pudding(Robert hates pudding...oops!) The kids had to memorize an article of faith to have their pudding, they all did it, good job kids! To end we all piled on Kole and squished him until he cried uncle...our favorite activity, well that and tickling him until he screams...ya we are evil!

We need to have FHE more often... maybe we'll invite Kole over so we can all pile on top of him, I'm sure they kids would enjoy that a lot!! :o)
I so miss being in the YW, you are a great leader for them and are making a huge difference in their life. They will always remember you and the spirit that you bring with you to your class. They will also remember how incredibly crazy you are! I am sure they all want to be like you! I remember wanting to be like a lot of my YW advisors, heck I still do... they are great women of the church.
Thanks sooo much for sharing! I love it! Keep it coming! I'm so glad you're in young women's...ditto for what Julie said!
