Today I am grateful for the principle of prayer in my life. If I wasn't able to open my heart to my Father in Heaven and pour out all of my heartache and joy I would be at a loss, for sure. I appreciate the love that Heavenly Father gives me and how I can feel it, intensely! When life seems unfair and out of sorts all I have to do is get on my knees, cry for hours and pour out my heart and I can feel love that no other can give to me! I am grateful for this life and the experiences that it affords me to learn more about the atonement and about forgiveness, unconditional love, humility, kindness, patience, charity, peace, faith and JOY! I am small and insignificant in the world's eyes but to my Father in Heaven I am His daughter and He opens His arms , wide, to embrace me in His love. There is such beauty and wonder in our lives, how they play out, what we learn from them. When life gets tough and seems unfair then that is the time you will draw the closest to the Lord, if you open the door and your heart to Him! I love the person I am becoming because of who He is making me!

Marriage is not a bowl full of cherries all the time, it is not a fairy tale, it is not a vacation, at least not for me. It is WORK...a lot of it. It is learning, understanding, giving of yourself, service, compromise, patience( a lot of that one), kind words when you feel like screaming obscenities, it is work, work, work. It is love, passion,tenderness,self sacrifice...ENDURANCE! If it was easy would we try so hard to make it last forever? Marriage is not something to take lightly. It is not a short sprint, it is a Marathon, a lifetime marathon. It has ups and downs, consequences and rewards, trials and joy...it has it ALL! I am grateful for my wonderful, terrible, hard, fun, joyful, irritating,obnoxious, rewarding,CRAZY marriage and I am commited to the work it takes to make it last for all eternity! Life is all about our choices and what path we find ourselves going down. May all your paths lead to the right place!
