Kole's Birthday party in the park on Friday.

Kole was determined to have a friend party this year. He "says" he asked me if it was alright??? I relented after he told me he had already invited all of his friends...what was I to do? I agreed to have it in the park with pizza and cupcakes. One friend even brought a gift, yay for Kole! The sunshine was out and they ran around and played games and ate pizza , we even fed some park friends too:) I feel bad but I really don't like having birthday parties for my kids. I am just over that stage of life, poor Kyzen has only had one his whole life and it was cousins, which was fun but he has always wanted a friend party, maybe some day:)

Hey Girlie~ We had Kelsey's birthday party yesterday and can honestly say I thought I was done with the Birthday thing a long time ago...then I realized that some of my older friends who didn't get to celebrate their birthday's when they were kids are now harboring REAL feelings of resentment because their parents didn't give them parties...hmm so now what do we do? I am with you parties are overboard and way to expensive...now we do it cheap and my children are aware of the change of things no more spending huge amounts I cut up veggies and make dip...homemade cake... yesterday after church we fed everyone sandwich stuff they could put together themselves...it was way less expensive and Kelsey said it was the best birthday she had ever had!!! Bonus we had leftovers so I didn't have to grocery shop last evening.... Sydnie's 16th birthday is on the 16th of November and again I will have put on a party for her that will be memorable we will see LOL!!! As much as I don't want the expense or hastle I want her to have good memories of her 16th !!! And no she won't be getting a car!!! Not even your Jetta HAHA!!!
