Jaydn's tournament team took 3rd place and got a trophy!

I have been told there were pictures taken of Jaydn with the trophy but I shall be patient to see if I get any emailed to me:) His tournament team went to Clatskanie and played in 4 games ( From 10am-6pm) on Saturday. A really nice dad of one of the selected boys made sure that Jaydn got to be on the team(they were trying to make it an exclusive 7th grade team and one boy, the coaches son, didn't want Jay on the team and even told Jaydn that at school , after practice) Will, the dad of Isaiah, insisted if Jaydn didn't get to play his son wouldn't play! Very nice man! He also told the coach what his son had said to Jaydn and Jaydn got a personal apology call from the boy:)

Jaydn says he played maybe 35 minutes total out of all the 4 games and he actually fouled completely out of one game but it is good practice for him and I am so pleased they let him go! There are only about 3 boys, including Jaydn, that play really good post so they needed him. Jaydn still has a lot to learn and it wouldn't hurt if he got some more of his height here in the next couple of years. He will make a fine basketball player yet!

Jay went on and on about Johnny Griffey's(the boy who told him he shouldn't play) 7- 3 point shots during the 4 games. I said " Jaydn every team player has a job to do, yours is not 3 point shots! I am happy for Johnny that he has worked hard on his but you are an excellent guard and rebounder...that is what your position requires...not 3 pointers! Work on your body placement and keeping your arms up and blocking out and your shot accuracy under the basket...that's what you need to work on! Every kid has their talent and that is yours son!" Really you should see him play...looks just like his daddy out there, except shorter:)

I gush on and on I know but like my sister Lisa loves Football, I LOVE BASKETBALL! I haven't come to a point where I will watch much of it on TV but I do LOVE LOVE LOVE to go to Jaydn , Kole and Leavi's games:):):) High School Basketball is my very favorite ever to watch!
