Leavi earned her Young Women in Excellence!!!!

Years ago the church didn't used to allow Young Women to finish this award until they were Laurels but now the rules have changed and Leavi was able to finish as a Mia Maid! She is such a devoted worker and she put so many, many hours into her value projects. I never once had to prod her along, very self motivated. She did get in a flurry to finish when she found out, at the beginning of this new year, that a new value, Virtue, would be added and she didn't want to have to do another project...ha ha...so she did her last 2 things and finished it up! This is one of the things that BYU looks at and it is so good for girls to finish this huge program, they learn so much! I am so proud of my daughter! She will go far in this world and she has such a strong foundation to walk on! Can I just say that she is genuinely virtuous and pure and faithful! She has been seeing some kids at church who are "dating" when they are not yet 16 years old and it really bothers her. She says " Why can't they just do what the church asks us to do?" I LOVE HER! She never ceases to amaze me with her steadfastness! I am blessed to have her as my daughter, she shines as an example to everyone around her. She makes great choices even when it is hard for her because friends at school do not share the same values. She loves her parents ..especially her daddy! She loves to crawl into our bed...squeeze right between us ..and talk to us about her life! She is a snuggle bug with me and her dad. She lacks for nothing, in her mind, even though we could give her more(worldly things, that is). She is a grateful child and she sees the value in not spending money on stuff you don't need(she even "polices" me at times on what I spend). Way to go Leavi! Keep it up dear daughter of mine and life will take you to some very special places and your treasures will be more than you can imagine! You are a daughter of God and He loves you even more than your dear old mom:)...but mom loves you like a raging fire too!

Way to go Leavi!! I remember doing so many different kinds of projects!! I unfortunately didn't finish my last 40 hour projects, I only had 38 hours and I was leaving for college before I knew it. I'm glad you got done so early!! Congrats!!

Good job Leavi!! Wow, another value...How is the theme going to change now? When I was in YW(wow, I'm starting to sound old) they added "to strengthen home and family" to the theme! But that is very cool! Congrats!!! :D

That is awesome! I am working on my PP again as a leader. Bad news for Levi though, they are asking the YW who have completed to do Virtue also.

Jed and I are so proud of her! She sets such a good example to the rest of the girl cousins!
