And here is why I am so blessed to be married to this junk collecting, pack rat man of mine..he fixes everything broken...eventually. This skillet had some "leg" issues that made me through it in the trash...even though I love that is it NOT Teflon. My mom bought it for me about a year ago and I loved it but all the legs broke off. Robert fished it out of the garbage can and he had it in the shop for about 4 months before he figured out to do this to it. That will NEVER break I tell you what! It weighs like 30 pounds now but it is very strong. This is a piece from a beam that was used in building our barn. I always give him a hard time for saving every little piece of junk...this may just shut me up yet... maybe not...if you have seen the overflowing piles of junk he has sitting outside you would understand my dilemma but I will admit he is a handy man...and he loves to fix my broken stuff to prove it!

That is so great! I'm glad you have a 30 lb. skillet now, :o) and one less piece of junk in the junk pile.
