GTD (Gratitude of the day for those who don't know it )#25

#25. I am so grateful for General Conference and the counsel that we, as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, receive. I especially enjoyed the talk given by Elder Robert D. Hales, apostles are so special. I was so surprised, as was the congregation at the conference center, that we are building a temple in Rome, Italy! How great is that??? Yippie! I am grateful for counsel on how we should pray, from Elder Bednar. I , too, feel like we do not offer thanks enough to Heavenly Father. It will be fun to hear what my kids start coming up with to be grateful for:) Their current prayers almost always begin with " We are grateful for this day..." Like some kind of prayer zombies.

I am grateful for good hard work, as well. Robert came home Friday evening and we got up Saturday, went to Kole's soccer game (Where he couldn't play more than 10 minutes before his injured foot began to bother him...his team lost again) and then we began work on the septic tank problem. Fortunately, it was the pump and Robert replaced it, finished up the wiring and we covered up the awful trench that has been across the yard for over a month. Jaydn helped me but I should have been more careful because come Sunday morning I was nearly crippled with back pain...OOPS! When will I ever learn? I am grateful , however, for pain medication to get me through the worst while I rest...HA! rest ...right? Every time I take Percocet it makes me unable to sleep and I get itchy all night...but that gave me the chance to read (at 3 am) and so I dug into my current read The Shack. I haven't decided if I like it or not? It is a really strange take on God...(God appears to this distraught man as a black woman???) but interesting enough to keep my attention. The story reads as if it really happened but I found out it is fiction. I think it is worth reading but one must understand about God and Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost to discern that some of how they are portrayed is not at all accurate. As with any book that is not scripture there is some good in it and some bad so you decide?
