We Are Home!

After 16 days of traveling in our RV from Lava Hot Springs to Yellowstone to Island Park to Glacier National park and to Coer de lane Idaho I am pooped! It will take me awhile to get our 1000 pictures sorted and organized enough to even begin a blog about our fabulous trip. I tried to journal about each day but didn't keep it up so I will have to refer to my family's memories a little about what we did each day. Robert was really in his element and nearly killed me with all he wanted to get in everyday...but thanks to his initiative we managed to see as much as a one human being can see in a 16 day trip such as this! Can I say that without our fifth wheel this would have been a death sentence for me...Thanks Robert for getting a us an RV!... Coming soon to a blog near you...endless accounts of our trip and beautiful scenic pictures! Robert and Jaydn hiked a total of 86 miles...the others of us did a few less...me a totaled about 15 miles plus or minus for all the walking at Yellowstone which I don't consider a hike. Our only problems were a forest fire at Yellowstone about 2 miles form our campground , our cruise control got stuck on coming down a scary mountain pass...Yikes Robert put the truck into low gear and it turned it off after the brakes were not doing the job( It didn't happen again????), and we ran out of fuel in the Dalles but Robert had packed 5 gallons of diesel so we were up and running in minutes...that's my Mr. prepared!

I would not suggest traveling in a 6 passenger truck for days on end with 4 kids...enough to make you ride in the truck bed "Au solitaire" but I managed to read The Host( Awesome book!), Breaking Dawn (even better), and the second Seven Waters trilogy book Son Of The Shadow(Awesome book, very romantic!)so I didn't totally lose it...did I mention I wore ear plugs...necessity! If I have to smell even one more bag of corn nuts mixed with Kyzen fart I will die right here and now:)

Robert's mom joined us for the Lava Hot Springs and Yellowstone portion of our trip and it was so nice to have her hang out with us! Thanks mom!
