My mom and dad's baptism April 26, 2008

These are various pictures of the days events. The name of the church they belong to is Church of the Annunciation Orthodox . The service began at around 11am and went on to some where around 3"ish", but we had to leave at 2 ( I was not feeling well). This whole experience was very surreal and almost of another world or something. Robert felt like it was a cultural experience...interesting to learn about what other religions do for their baptismal services. It was also Orthodox Easter or Pashca (don't know if I spelled that right?) so I think the service was longer because of that?? I did not understand a lot of what they did or why they do it that way but my parents seemed to be happy with the choice they have made so I am glad that they have a place to belong and people to be their good friends and teach them about Christ along the way. The whole experience made me very grateful for what I believe and the church that I have chosen to join. It made concrete for me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church with the fullness of the gospel...others may have bits and pieces of the truth ( which is good) but they do not have the fullness or the leadership of a Modern day prophet to guide and direct them and be the mouthpiece of the Lord. I am grateful to have the constant companionship of the Holy Spirit, the gift of dicernment to know the truth when I hear it or see it and to know when it is not there. I am grateful for my Savior and the ultimate sacrifice that He made for me and every person that has ever lived and ever will live on this Earth! I am grateful for the experiences that God has laid before me to enrich my life, challenge me, teahc me , humble me, strengthen me and bless me. I am grateful that I know that I have a personal relationship with Heavenly Father and that He speaks to me through prayer...He listens and answers, He is my Father and He loves me unconditionally, I am His daughter...a daughter of God. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and the Book of Mormon is the word of God , another Testament of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a living prophet today even Thomas S. Monson, he is a prophet seer and revelator and holds all the keys of the Kingdom of God here on Earth. I know that we have apostles today as there were when Christ was here on this Earth. I know Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are three seperate individual beings that work together as one. I know these things because I have prayed about them and Heavenly Father has witnessed them to me through the Holy Spirit. I have a strong testimony, one I cherish, one that has gotten me through many hard trials that have only made that testimony grow in it's strength. I Love my Heavenly Father and my Savior with all my heart and look forward with anticipation to the day that I will meet them again in Heaven. In the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
