I am shrinking...can it be???

I used to be so proud of my 6' tall stature( and it gives me a good excuse for weighing 230 pounds). I measured my kids this morning just to see if any of them had grown since the last time (August of 2007). Leavi is now 5'8'' tall! I saw her mark and wondered.."I should put my own up there...HUH? WHAT????? I am only 5' 10''....this has got to be a mistake(If it is true let's not tell anyone okay?) I am going to confirm the results at the doctor's office next visit, very disturbing...I was a smidge under 6 foot at my first appointment when I was pregnant with Leavi! I don't think it is normal to shrink 2 whole inches in 14 years...JUST WRONG I tell you!

Moving on...Jaydn is now 5' 5'' and Kole is 5' 1/2'' and Kyzen is 4'6 and one half inches tall. They are all growing like weeds, gives answer to the question " Where did all of the food go... I know I went shopping 2 days ago?" While Leavi only gained an inch and a half this year, Jaydn grew 3 and a half inches in this year!!!! Kole sprouted 2 and a half inches and Kyzen, bless his heart, gained an inch and a half. The age old dilema of why I spend about $180 per week in food to feed this rapidly growing crew has been answered eh?

So not only are they getting bigger but they are (well Jaydn is anyway) getting older and "thicker". Jaydn used to have what I , lovingly, refer to as the "Pillsbury"(his pinch more than an inch around the belly region) I love to poke him and try to get him to squirm there....not so much any more...the "pillsbury" is melting.....moment of silence to mourn the loss...(tears roll slowly down my cheek as a realize my boy is becoming a young man... he will be 12 years olds...tomorrow!) Not to worry, the "Pillsbury" has turned into a triangle shaping upper body, that of a soon to be football player! Right before my very eyes this Jayder potater boy is maturing...I hate that, love that, I don't know how I feel about that???? Meanwhile Kole just gets taller and taller( skinny as a bean pole, probably more basketball type player material like his dad was) Kyzen is well.. BOB ..hate that he has to grow up but it is inevitable. Leavi, lastly, has begun to show signs of needing for us to get on top of building that dungeon I have planned to lock her in....She asked if she could lay in our tanning bed the other day??? What in the world?I don't THINK so MISSY! Boys follow her around at school like puppy dogs and I just don't EVEN like the way they look at her when we are in public... I give them the "stink eye" Like " I know you were NOT just looking at my 13 year old daughter there young man(18 year old man)!!! That's right move along...GET!!!" Good thing she is tall, that will ward some of them off:)Thank goodness we pass down our DNA!
