What I forgot to mention was...

So the day of the birthday party ,that my valiant son elected not to go to, was a great day! Jaydn did not sit around and pout about his misfortune, instead he served his family, namely me, all day long. With a smile on his face he said"yes mom" to everything I asked and did a ton of extra stuff as well. He did the morning dishes with Leavi, without being asked. That was after he and Leavi delivered a Delicious breakfast in bed for Robert and I(Yummo!). Then that afternoon he cleaned up the living room and proceeded to make dinner(with my instruction from the couch). He made fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies. What a treat, and he is well on his way to being able to cook for the ladies in college!

Leavi, that morning, blew me away also. She got up and made pancakes and eggs and fresh orange juice for her dad and I. She is a gem, I think we will keep her?

It is days like that I feel like I can do this parenting thing, for sure!
