So Yesterday I was cleaning out Leavi's closet and I saw that most of her clothes for church are worn and she only has 2 skirts she can wear. This is just fine with her, she is very grateful for all that she has. She is a very humble girl, me thinks. She never complains or asks me to get her clothes, she is very happy with the hand-me-downs we get now and then. She is, however, too tall now for the clothes we have been getting from my good friend, Angela, and her daughters...sadly :(
I had just worked at Jocey's house so I had some extra cash(seriously when is it ever extra?) and I had not spent our clothing budget for February yet. I packed myself up and went to Ross to see what I could find for my darling little(well big actually) girl. I was surprised to find 2 skirts, 2 shirts, a sweater and black dress jacket(in velvet!) for her for under $50, WOW! What a deal! I am going to get her a new pair of church shoes as well(found a darling small heel at Kohl's for reasonable price) and some nylons. Leavi loved all I got her, except one of the shirts she says is too tight for her comfort(It was way cute and intended to be tight around the bottom, but she is quirky about that, which is fine) so I will return it for the other one that was there( a button up blouse). I love that she loves the stuff I pick out! The picture is her favorite skirt(It is black print) and shirt(another button up empire waist blouse)She likes these instead of the way-to-casual t-shirts that girls are wearing to church now. She likes to be an individual and that is cool! We talked about dressing your best for Sunday and going to worship in clothing that is respectful, but you can look great and feel great and not wear t-shirts and flip-flops or converse(yes they wear converse at church..yuck! and flip-flops..double yuck!!). I love this girl, what a great blessing to me she is. Along with surprising her with the new clothes hanging in her closet I also wrote her a two page letter of appreciation for her in my life. She is my little princess...Princess the "P" I call her. I will love her forever and ever...plus one!

Very cute outfit! Good job, mom! :o) I am so happy that Leavi wants to dress respectively at church meetings, it is hard to believe how casual things are becoming at church. I hope my daughters are as smart as Leavi, and love the Lord as much as she does. You guys are awesome parents!
