GTD ( Gratitude of the Day)

I am grateful for family! I love the holidays when we are not so busy that we forget about Christmas and the reason for the season. Last night we sat around in our room with our kids and read stories from the Ensign and read Luke Chapter 2(the Christmas story) . We have had the most leisurely day today of any Christmas I can remember with kids. We stayed here the ENTIRE day and just hung out:) That puts a smile on my face. I made a batch of cinnamon rolls "from Heaven"...but I wouldn't know, I didn't eat them:)?? The family said they were extra delicious this time. We have been playing and watching movies all day. I love this! I am grateful my children are so sweet and have such a great time with each other, for the most part. I am grateful I have an awesome husband. Robert worked on our truck all day yesterday and got it fixed. He bought 80% of our kids Christmas gifts and did a fine job of it! He got me some special things that I would never have thought of myself (ie: A new tennis racket(there is a story behind that one ...for later), furry lined Crocs, a new..really nice, shower head(ours was leaking and I like the detachable kind), a car charger cord for my phone that always seems to run out of battery when I am out somewhere...and a bottle of my very favorite Gapscent..Dream...I wore it when we first met. Nice guy that hubby of mine. He also got himself all his own gifts( I really stink at picking stuff out for him and gave up about 5 years ago). He doesn't seem to mind picking out his own stuff and showing me what he got..hee hee! He doesn't even ask me to wrap it up...LOVE HIM! I think this is the first day ( other than Sunday) that Robert has been around all day and hasn't been working out in the shop or on a house project in ...ummm...about 6 years! Yay! I am grateful for this day!

On that note... the reason for this holiday season is our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful for His sacrifice for me and all the rest of this world! I am grateful I have a Heavenly Father to talk to and give my troubles to. Who comforts me when I am sad and joins in my joy when I am happy. He guides me through this life with tenderness and mercy. I am grateful I have the fulenss of gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and that God lives and loves me! I am grateful that I don't have to be perfect, Christ did that for me, all I have to do is have faith and follow Him, take His yoke , or name, upon me and live! I am grateful that Christ offers each one of us eternal life with Him. Do we all know what that means? Maybe not ALL of us do... but we can feel Him in our hearts and God can touch our very souls with His love. He will lead each and every one of us to Him, we just have to open that "door" and let him in when He knocks! I am grateful the gospel and the way to eternal life is very simple..by small and simple means are great things accomplished! But the Lord tells us " I didn't say it would be easy I just said it would be worth it!" Simple is not always easy so the Lord gives us His strength to endure what might not be so easy for us , at times. He walks with us and even carries us in our most trying times. I am , in deed, grateful! My cup runneth over, literally! I write this testimony , with a happy heart, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!
