The Grossnickle Family

Robert, Danelle, Leavi, Jaydn, Kole and Kyzen

Yesterday Robert took Jaydn, Kole and Kyzen snowboarding for the whole day at Timberline. It was a free ski promotion so They took the day off of school to spend the fun time with their dad. The consequence was that they would not be aloud to play in their "community ed" games today(the last game of the season), which we did not know about. Mind you, Jaydn has missed school on Friday before a game 2 time before this season but no one cared or noticed, for that matter. Well, Jay stared in the game and almost managed a full quarter before the coach of the other team spoke up and said"Jaydn can't play, he didn't go to school yesterday!" I had no idea this rule existed, it is community ed that we paid $50 per kid to participate in. We were told that they follow district rules for Middle school and High school..whatever. We are not even playing other schools, it is "Jacked up!" if you ask me and I will be "Squeaking the wheel" to the district superintendent with some very good arguments to change that pathetic and not possible to fairly enforce rule...mark my words! So this a a picture of his last moments in the game. Jaydn took it all in stride but I could tell he was dying sitting there watching his team take a loss because of this. They lost by 6 points that would not have been made if Jay would have been in the game, pitiful really. I have no idea how this boy, Jaydn, came into my life with the most positive attitude of any 11 year old boy I have ever seen??? In fact, funny story...He likes to follow me around when I am irritated and smiles real big and says " I am your positive attitude mom!" I may have written that already... but it deserves another plug, I think! Where did this kid come from... planet positive or what?Constantly learning from Jaydn's example I am...The force is strong with him...Luke I am your father...sorry lapse of sanity there... Do you think I have watch Star Wars one too many times? What I meant to say was I think he is quite ready to receive the priesthood in 2 months, exciting to see and be a part of and for that I am truly grateful.

"I am your positive attitude..." that cracks me up... I would love to see that. Such a blessing to have positive people around!
